Project Background
The automotive industry has heavily improved customer UX and individual expression in recent years. More specifically, lighting has become a huge focal point for the customer due to the ability to now choose from a set of lighting patterns that play as you approach your vehicle. This trend inspired me to develop a taillight that would have a similar impact in the motorcycle industry. The Reaper Taillight is a motorcycle taillight featuring a line-tracking animation sequence that plays every time you turn on the bike. The goal for this project was to make a unique light for my Ducati Monster and display it at a few shows but after rigorous process of designing custom PCBs and specing diffuser materials, I decided to simplify the design and turn it into a business.

Product Strategy.
There’s a lot of excitement around custom motorcycles from famous agencies and well respected individual builders. Becuase of the time and care it takes to develop each one of these bikes, they’re far too expensive and delicate for the weekend warrior rider. Pixel Moto’s product will capture the impact custom motorcycles have but will develop kits for bikes our customers already own.

Transform your exits from bike meets with BoostPro brightly showcasing your favorite of 8 pre-loaded Pixel Motion animations at every start-up. BoostPro features onboard microcontrollers and high-lumen LEDs sealed within a CNC Monocoque crafted from a billet piece of aluminum.

The Reaper Taillight and BoostPro Prototype were developed on a Ducati Monster 796 platform due to accessibility. The following process covers the application of BoostPro styling onto a Triumph Street Triple 765 RS. This will be the first version of BoostPro to be publicly sold.
